District 3, Buncombe County Board of Commissioners (short-term): Republican Robert Pressley vs. Democrat David King.

This two-year term was created by the resignation of Miranda DeBruhl earlier this year.

  1. Robert Pressley is a good guy. The epitome of mountain values. He loves these old mountains and wants to make this area a great place for his kids and grand kids to live. Vote Robert Pressley you cannot go wrong.

      One of these days I’d like Michael McCoy to explain what “mountain values” means to him. Based on his comments at the C-T, it apparently allows you to praise the late Martin Nesbitt but also support Donald Trump, two people who represent polar opposites of political belief and public service.

          Ooooooh, it sounds like someone has a secret! Maybe mountain values are like being in a fraternity with secret handshakes, bizarre rituals for initiation, etc.
          Or maybe mountain values in Maine, WV, SW Virginia, North Georgia might be different than what he claims.
          They’re all the same mountains, but different values. Maybe you mean values in your particular little holler?
