Once it is finally constructed, the new Isaac Dickson Elementary School may have a powerful new next-door neighbor. The proposed Duke Energy substation plans for the site have drawn protests from some parents and nearby residents. Duke Energy spokespersons assure those concerned groups that EMF is A-OK. Whether such assurances will quell the FUD remains to be seen, but here is how a future conversation may go:
