I visited healthcare.gov on the Internet, and thanks to the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, I am now, at age 63, covered by health care insurance for the first time in my adult life.
I’ve had financial ups and downs throughout my life with periods of relative prosperity; at other times, not so much. But the real reason I never before invested in health care insurance is that I was never exactly certain what I was buying. There was always so much fine print written into the policies; I felt as if I needed a lawyer to figure out what would be covered and what would not if, God forbid, I needed extensive medical care or hospitalization. I couldn’t bring myself to spend the time or money on such an uncertain venture.
I am so thankful that is no longer the case because of the Affordable Care Act. Now there are standards the health care insurance industry must adhere to. All pre-existing conditions are covered and so much more. At healthcare.gov, I found a set of clear and affordable choices — all of which will ensure that I will never be financially destroyed because of a catastrophic illness or accident. I will sleep well tonight knowing that my family and I are much more secure in life.
Thank you President Obama and those in Congress who voted to pass the Affordable Care Act.

Why is it that these little anecdotes of the goodness of the ACA keep popping up in the liberal communities? You did not get insurance in the past because you were afraid of the fine print but you trust the uber-bureaucracy of HHS to keep you safe and sound from the unknown? Are there any rational people out there who can blow the suds off the top of the mug and simply laugh at this insane theatrical comedy?
Mr. Avram Friedman has a long political history and the Democratic party has shown no aversion to spreading falsehoods from the very top down. Also a word of warning to those who believe because they have completed the enrollment they have health insurance…because the back-end is still not working properly until you sucessfully use your new health care insurance you may be in for a suprise.

Yeah, don’t you know that the only credible ACA stories are the nightmare ACA stories? Every FOX viewer knows this.

I believe there is quite a large industry of people who are employed to make this look like a farce, yes.

I have heard from several people that they found good deals and are paying less for better insurance than they had before. But they don’t want to go public with it, well… because of people like you attacking them for it.
I believe the avalanche of nightmare Obamacare stories has crested, and more & more people will have positive experiences and that awareness will sink in & people will realize that it’s better than what we had before.
Don’t worry, you’ll find something else to beat of Obama for.
How is it better than what you had before? Most of us were quite content with what we had or have.
