  1st & 3rd SATURDAYS, noon-3pm - Community Partnership for Pets will sell low-cost spay/neuter vouchers the Blue Ridge Mall, 4 Seasons Blvd., Hendersonville.   WEDNESDAYS, SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS, 10am-1pm - Outward Hounds invites the public to take adoptable dogs on local hikes. Meets at BWAR, 31 Glendale Ave. Free.

• 07/28: Furever Friends

  SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS, 10am-5pm - Furever Friends Animal Rescue Network and Sanctuary will host feline adoptions at Petco, 825 Brevard Road. Info: 398-4943.

• 05/29: Bird Feeder Workshop

  WE (5/29), 6-8pm - A bird feeder workshop will focus on constructing a bird feeder and learning the calls of native birds. Call for cost.

• 06/01: Fiber Feel Day

• 06/01: WNC Boxer Rescue Rabies Clinic

  SA (6/1), 11am-3pm - WNC Boxer Rescue will host a low-cost rabies clinic and adoption event at Woof Gang Bakery, 33 Town Square Blvd., #140. 11am-3pm adoptions; 1-3pm rabies clinic. $10 for shots. Info: wncboxerrescue.org.

• 06/08: Mountain Safari

  SA (6/8), 6-9pm - Friends of the WNC Nature Center will host Mountain Safari, a "one-of-a-kind social adventure." "Dress in your best safari gear and party with the animals." Featuring special entertainment, a raffle and silent auction, food and drink. $35/$30 members/$15 children ages 3 to 15.
