Lake Eden Arts Festival names its October entertainers, including The Mickey Hart Band, Tinariwen, The Tony Rice Unit, The Be Good Tanyas (pictured) and George Porter Jr. and the Runnin’ Pardners.
This year’s festival includes 40 bands ranging from funk and Americana to hip-hop and Christian r&b. Headliners include Dr. Dog, David Mayfield Parade, Lucero and Brandi Carlile.
The Asheville Downtown Association (celebrating its 25th anniversary) just announced the lineup for the 2012 Downtown After Five Series (held the third Friday of each month, May through September, on Lexington Avenue).
