At 6 p.m. today (Friday, April 6), tune in to WCQS-88.1, Asheville’s National Public Radio affiliate, for local reporters’ takes on breaking stories.
Guests on News Director David Hurand‘s program Byline will include:
• Mountain Xpress staff writer Cecil Bothwell, who will discuss the town of Woodfin’s recent decision to nix a proposed Progress Energy power plant, along with questions about what the company will do with the 77 acres it has leased from Buncombe County.
• Citizen-Times reporter Joel Burgess, who will share his findings on where members of Buncombe County’s state legislative delegation got their campaign cash in last November’s most-contested local races.
• A reporter from the High Point Enterprise, who will report on the state of North Carolina’s preeminent furniture expo.
Byline airs every Friday from 6 to 6:30 p.m. If you miss an episode, you can listen online at the station’s archive of locally produced programs.
