The City of Hendersonville government offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019 in observance of Independence Day.
Garbage, Recycling and Brush Collection will be operating on a regular schedule. For water/sewer issues occurring on July 4, please use the afterhours number at (828) 891-7779.
Independence Day Parade Street Closure
On Thursday, July 4, 2019 an Independence Day Parade will be taking place in downtown Hendersonville at 11 am. Main Street from its southern intersection with King Street to the N. Main Street intersection at 5 points (Asheville Hwy and N. Church Street) will be closed approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the parade. Portions of Oakland St. will be closed to thru traffic to accommodate the staging area for parade entries. Motorists approaching the street closures will be directed to a detour route. The streets will reopen following the completion of the parade.
