UPDATED: No Code Purple this weekend

Update 10-21-2022:

No code purple Friday, Saturday or Sunday as temperatures will be 33, 37 and 40 degrees.

Update 10-20-2022:

Code Purple is extended through Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Code Purple is an activation of emergency services including shelters and county paramedic when temperature drops to around 32 degrees F.

The projected temperature is 31 degrees.

The current Code Purple shelters are:

For men:

Veterans Restoration Quarters
1329 Tunnel Rd
828 259 5333

For single women and women with children:
ABCCM Transformation Village 828- 259-5365
30 Olin Haven Way
Women, children, veterans with screening process

SHUTTLE BUS LEAVES FROM 24 CUMBERLAND AVE AT 4PM FOR SHELTERS.

SALVATION ARMY NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

Transportation is available for free during Code Purple ART Bus Station 828-253-5691 49 Coxe Ave.
