Remember back in July when Toubab Krewe introduced its new festival, Canavalito, to Pisgah Brewing? Here’s some good news: You don’t have to wait another six months to relive that party. The Asheville-founded Afro-Americana fusion outfit brings Winter Carnavalito to The Orange Peel for two nights this month — Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19. They’ll be joined by Dangermuffin on Friday and Adron on Saturday; $1 from each ticket sold goes to Instruments for Africa. Help out even more: attendees are asked to bring canned goods for MANNA FoodBank. 9 p.m. nightly. $16 in advance, $27 for a two-night pass. http://theorangepeel.net. Photo by Mayleen Gonzalez.
