Hendersonville-based author Ann B. Ross has been working on her popular Miss Julia series since '99. The feisty Miss Julia is a widow as well as a church member and pillar of her small community, Abbotsville. But throughout the series, the title character creates a new family, keeps up a crazy house and solves mysteries. Or problems. Often other people’s problems. The just-released 14th novel in the series, Miss Julia Stirs Up Trouble, is more drama, more twists, and dozens of recipes from Abbotsville’s best cooks. Ross will read and sign copies of her book at Malaprop's on Sunday, April 28. 3 p.m. http://www.malaprops.com. Photo by Sarah Sneeden
