The psych-pop of Toro Y Moi breezed through town last July at the Emerald Lounge, a co-bill with Coma Cinema that was well-attended but still, a small venue. Fast forward three months, and the experimental act — really, it’s just one fellow, Chaz Bundick, behind the shifting and catchy indie noise — lands a spot at Moogfest. This year, after hitting up Lollapalooza, Toro Y Moi makes its way to the Orange Peel on Thursday, Sept. 27. Not bad for a 25-year old from Columbia, S.C. With The Choir Quilt and The Can’t Kids. Show at 9 p.m. $16/$18. theorangepeel.net. Photo by Courtney Vokey
