Busk Break: Broken Lilacs perform “My Baby”

“It’s about Ocracoke and murder,” says Slim Suzy Lilac of the North Carolina-based duo Broken Lilacs, talking about their song “My Baby.” Formerly based in Asheville, the group currently claims “the Eastern part of the state” as home, although they add that they’re planning on a long-term move to Nashville, TN, in coming months. The band performs at The Get Down on Friday, Sept. 2.
