Busk Break: James Harrell and Kelli Redmond at Red Step Open Mic

This weekend, we’re switching up the format just a little and including some non-busking material recorded at the Red Step Artworks open mic in Hendersonville, NC. The weekly event is held every Thursday, and is more of a round-robin of area singer/songwriters performing as much for each other as for any audience. In this video, singer/songwriter James Harrell performs an original tune, backed by Red Step owner Kelli Redmond. This recording is also hosted on the Xpress-backed local media experiment in Hendersonville, HVLLive.com.

Love listening to local buskers? You can also subscribe to Busk Break via iTunes, and join the Busk Break Facebook fan page for all the latest news!

For a higher-quality, downloadable version of the tune, check out the embedded audio player below.

Glad Hendo finally has a spot that features musicians. Much needed.
