Come Laugh Your Asheville Off with Chris Porter

The Laugh Your Asheville Off boys are bringing another big name to town: This time it’s comedian Chris Porter at the Diana Wortham Theatre on Saturday night, starting at 8 p.m. Here’s a clip of the funnyman. Plus, tix are about as cheap as it gets for stand-up comedy around here.

From the group’s Web site:

“Asheville’s premier stand-up comedy group knows how challenging the economy is. That’s why their final spring show at the Diana Wortham Theatre is half price, at $12. And better yet, Highland Brewing Company is the event sponsor, and few things are better than laughter and beer.

And don’t think that the reduced price show means half the comedy. Headlining comic Chris Porter is on his Comedy Central half-hour special tour. His show has been selling out comedy clubs from N.Y. to L.A. Joe Zimmerman is back from 100 days and 100 nights on the road along with Asheville favorite Scott Oseychik who will be bringing in his high energy heat, along with the very talented Tom Chalmers.”
