Eat (and drink) up! Asheville-area Eats & Drinks hits the streets

WNC is a rich tapestry of farms, specialty and open-air markets, talented chefs and other food service professionals, restaurants — and even gourmet food trucks.

Every year, Xpress pays homage to our food community with our Asheville-area Eats & Drinks guide, a comprehensive package of gourmand-worthy information that includes restaurant and bar listings, as well as insider tips.

This year’s guide includes answers to frequently asked questions (like where to eat mountain trout) and where to find entertaining eats (tot-chos and Tetris, anyone?). We’ll also take you on a culinary trip around the world — without leaving Asheville. We expanded our scope, inviting Carolina Epicurean blogger Laura Huff to dish about all of the fine places to eat in Hendersonville.

Eats & Drinks boasts a fresh look, including a beautifully designed cover featuring a photo of a “kitchen sink” Bloody Mary, created for us by The Market Place restaurant. The new design of Eats & Drinks guide reflects the sensibilities of our dining scene — fun, yet sophisticated, hands-down delicious and as artful in presentation as you would expect for a city like Asheville.

Pick up a copy of Eats & Drinks in many places where Xpress is distributed. And don’t forget our new online source for all things food and beverage related: avleats.com.

We hope that you enjoy it. Cheers and bon appetite!
