Enemy Lovers’ “We Can Make It” is released tonight

Leaking their own new album, one track at a time, Asheville rockers The Enemy Lovers are back with a new song to drop. “We Can Make It” gets released tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 8) at 8 p.m. Access the track on the band’s website (and also read the story behind the song). Purchase other Enemy Lovers tracks at Bandcamp.

There’s not a weak track on the Enemy Lover’s upcoming album, though different songs reveal (to varying degrees) their influences. “We Can Make It” recalls the Beatles for its stacked harmonies and lilting guitars, but the beguiling crack in Tim’s vocal is more Lenny Kravitz than John Lennon.

Check out the Enemy Lovers website and Facebook.

And, there’s this: “To coincide with today’s release of We Can Make It (at 8 p.m. EST), Steven and I will be heading into AshevilleFm radio station for a chat,” says Tim Scroggs. “You can listen online, from everywhere. Details are as follows: AshevilleFm Studio A – Fuzzy Bunny Cuddle Time Hour. Dirk Flytrap and The Doctor interview from 7:30 p.m. Listen/watch online.”

Can’t get enough? The band plays its weekly free show tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec. 9) at Stella’s (enter from College St.), 9 p.m.
