Got a craving for pie?

“Not your average wax museum tribute, Custard Pie is all about the music. On rare occasions, when conditions in the universe are just right, the band comes together and magic fills the air. Catch them if you can,” says the Myspace page for Zeppelin tribute quartet Custard Pie.

After a reunion show at Grey Eagle this past summer, the group has been easier to catch. Fans get another chance to do just that this Friday, Oct. 17 at Stella Blue. Cover for the 10 p.m. show is $10. Info: 236-2424.

From the ‘Urban Dictionary’….’cuz Homer, I just didn’t know…. still not sure of your use of the word…

    1.Whapper

A gravity bong hit. This is a specific type of gravity bong hit originated in Akron, Ohio. The bong hit is taken from a two-liter soda bottle, which has had its bottom removed. The cap of the bottle has a bowl head that is placed into the top. This contraption is then inserted in to a source of water that covers at least half the bottle. Insert smoke. Pull the bottle from the water while the cap is attached. Hold a lighter to the bowl while gravity forces the smoke magically into the bottle. Remove the cap and let Sir Isac Newton do the rest.

    2. Whapper

To whap. Or to own an object that whaps. Sometimes used as another word for penis or edible fruit cake.

    3. Whapper

    A line of cocaine.

    Thank goodness for the internets….
