Into the Forums: A video report

Clive The Boarding Robot gives us the forecast for the weekend’s posting about mountainx.com’s Forums:

Here’s the script, in case the text-to-speech is unintelligible for you.

LUNK: Thank you Crank, for that interesting report. I guess we’ll all be a little more careful the next time we venture into the bathtub after hearing that!

GLENDA: Haha! So right you are, Lunk. Speaking of danger, I’m wondering what the online climate will be over the next few days. Here’s Clive with your Mountain X dot com forum weather report.

Clive: Well Glenda, it looks like we have an interesting weekend ahead of us. As you can see, we’re in a bit of a quiet spot at the moment, but by tomorrow, that will probably change.

We have a high-pressure commenting front coming in all the way from the West Coast which will start to make the content of the forum more interesting by Saturday.

Late Saturday night, we’re expecting a storm of posts as the weekly Machine Made of Birds thread gets started up. [BIRD POOPS] Um. I’m terribly sorry about that. And later that evening we’ll probably have a mellow, sarcastic gust from around the Charles ton area.

By Sunday, expect to see a few showers blow in from the right. These conservative-leaning posters don’t always mix well with the liberal gusts we typically see, and when the two fronts collide, there can be quite a lot of turbulence. You don’t want to get caught out in one of those threads without an umbrella, I can tell you.

And we may even have a bit of a blustery mix of sarcasm and insight depending on what happens with tropical storm Bugg. A snarkiness watch is currently in effect for Cherokee and Buncom Counties.

Here’s your five day forecast.

LUNK: Thanks Clive. Coming up next, is your toaster plotting against you? According to a new study, it may be.

GLENDA: Hey! My brother is a toaster!

You forgot storm boatrocker and stormfront yona, both with extreme chances of showers!

Steve, man, you are my hero. I just dig your style.

But now those forums better have robots in ’em…
