We start off the Listening Room this week with R&B artist DNoRRi (pronounced “da-NAR-e”, rhymes with “Atari”), who curiously refers to his hometown of Asheville as “a little Los Angeles.” A short-lived contestant on American Idol, it’s well worth reading DNoRRi’s brief bio, even if his music does nothing for you. We suggest starting with the track “In love again.”
Next up is local indie-rock group Tonberry. Although the four-piece outfit only has one track available, “Disarray,” it’s well worth a listen. Also worth checking out is the band’s blog, which details their slow progression from their first public performance at the Westville Pub’s open mic to their hard-won recent gigs.
And finally, we have Harvey, a pop-oriented piano-rock group fronted by Kevin Harvey. Recently transplanted from the Atlanta music scene, Harvey’s music echoes the sounds of other performers, ranging from Ben Folds to John Mayer. We suggest starting with the song “Composing Bedlam.”
Now, it’s your turn. Tell us your thoughts by posting them into the comment fields below.

You all might want to correct that rather unfortunate typo on the front page…
Are you referring to the “E” left off the beginning of “Xpress”?
Instead of calling DNoRRi an R&B singer, we called him a rapper. And we forgot one of the “p”s. It sent an entirely different message than we intended.
While we’ve got you, any thoughts on this week’s musical acts?
