Photos and Video Clips From the 7th Annual Asheville Fringe Festival

Peer into the strange and fantastical world of the seventh annual Asheville Fringe Festival, which was performed this weekend at the BeBe Theatre and on the LaZoom bus. Below are a few video clips from Friday night’s LaZoom Tour and extravaganza:

Julie Becton Gillum, playing the part of an aging woman seeking to save her soul, performs with musicians Marcus Chatfield and Duke Ramuten in “Zombie Jesus.”
• The Libravado Sisters, an aerial arts troupe, perform a dazzling show featuring performers “Annabella” (Anna Holbrook), “Ambrastasia” (Ambra Lowenstein) and “Zamitenova” (SamiTe’) at the Flood Gallery.
• Fringe Festival director and performer, Jim Julien performs a puppetry piece titled “Tiny & Courageous Finches,” inspired by a poem written by Jillian Weise.
• Enjoy a video clip form the performance art piece “Cracker Dada” by the Paw of Zing (Elsia Faires and Timothy).

And, check out our exclusive photo gallery of the festivities.

UM, this is SamiTe’ of the Libravado Sisters. You stated in this article that we are the Asheville Aerial Artists. That is not true. The Libravado Sisters are their own company separate from the Asheville Aerial Arts.

Thank you for the correction, SamiTe. The information on our Blog is now updated. Please be in touch about future performance. And, Thanks again for the fantastic Fringe-inspired piece.
