Podcast: An interview with The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne

The Flaming Lips have been one of the most predictably unpredictable outfits in music for nearly 30 years. This weekend, frontman Wayne Coyne will serve as ringmaster to a circus of psychedelic madness when the band performs outdoors at the Animoog Playground. Xpress caught up with Coyne to discuss his approach to the creative process, gummy skulls, the band’s new direction and much, much more. Also be sure to check out the feature story about the Flaming Lips in this week’s Xpress.
