Project Runway alum Elisa Jimenez holds a trunk show at Minx

If you’re reading this before 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, there’s still time! Elisa Jimenez is selling one-of-a-kind apparel and spontaneous on-the-body couture at Minx.

Jimenez, who appeared on season four of Project Runway, has now been to Asheville twice: In 2009 as a fashion mentor at Hatch Fest and this weekend, for last night’s PUSH Asheville Fashion event. To learn more about that fashion show, read here To learn about the spontaneous couture collaboration Jimenez performed, with local designer Brooke Priddy, read here.

Today, until 3 p.m., Jimenez holds a trunk show of pieces from her line, The Hunger World, at Minx. She will also design on the body for those interested. Dresses are surprisingly affordable — Jimenez says it’s her way of stimulating the economy.

haha.. The crazy one. Brooks designs seems to mimic the Jimenez style. I don’t see what the fuss is about. It mostly looks like stretchy fabric that is close to the body and draped. Any first year fashion design student could manage it.

    “there are those who do,
there are those who follow or support,
and there are those that do neither…
what for the latter one because they will try to disrupt or distroy the other two.”
