If those are the 8 dollar salads that are on the menu …. I wish them luck.

Great to see this place opening and the corner will be happening again! $8 for a salad is fine with me!

Anyone who’s brave enough to engage in the restaurant business, even in the best of times should be commended. Personally I won’t be having the Antelope, unless, I need an advantage getting to those homemade Georgia Muffins. The best of luck & success to Solace.

I think it is great that another restaurant went in so soon and I wish them the best of luck. I have in addition to social work been a server for over 35 years. The only thing I see wrong with this picture is the servers wearing shirts and ties..that is so 80’s or Biltmore or Grove Park Inn..not laid back downtown Asheville. Great food and service does not require dressing like you are going to the office to work. It is very uncomfortable to wear , serving beer and wine, in and out of a hot kitchen and especially in the heat outside.I don’t understand why some restaurants still use this dress code for their servers…there are many other ways to dress and have everything covered and be presentable..without being uncomfortable.

Whoa, in being curious about this new place, I read the article, then the comments.

To the poster who proudly proclaims that $8 for a salad is fine, I officially dislike everything you stand for. You are part of the Pollyanna New-Age Baby Boomer yuppie problem here and homogenize everything you touch like a reverse King Midas. Life must be pretty good on Montford Ave.

May you be re-incarnated in your next life as a food service worker at a restaurant you regularly eat at. $8 for a salad, indeed.
