Smart Bets web extra: Asheville Vaudeville

“It may be cold outside, but the show is hot, hot, hot,” says a press release for Asheville Vaudeville. The local variety show brings an array of new and original works to the stage at Toy Boat Community Art Space (101 Fairview Rd.) on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 7:30 p.m. Performers include Madison J. Cripps (puppeteer), Sneaky McFly (magic/fire), Keith Shubert of Toybox Theatre (puppeteer), Sadye Osterloh (trapeze artist), Rigel 7 (stand up comedy), Laura Goetz (hoops), Valerie Meiss (accordionist and singer), Elizabeth Evans and Glenn Reed (tap dancing), Jim Julien and Darren Marshall (eccentric physical comedy and puppetry) and Onkel Woland and The Black Forest Menagerie (storytelling). Tom the Magician (aka Professor Wizzpop!) emcees; Polly Panic provides music. The show is suggested for ages 18 and over.
