Two days to cinematic glory: PHOTO GALLERY

Last weekend, contestants in the third annual Asheville 48 Hour Film Project scurried around town, trying to craft a masterwork in two short days. Mountain Xpress photo intern Liz McCarthy followed the team “We Make Pictures Move” — a winner in last year’s competition — from start to finish.

Click here to see McCarthy’s pictures of the magic and mayhem that unfolded. See this Web site for details about the 48 Hour Film Project, including information about scheduled screenings of this year’s entries, which will be shown tonight, Wednesday and Thursday at Asheville Pizza and Brewing (675 Merrimon Ave.)
