Picture the holiday season

Whether you’re 8 or 80, if you can pick up a crayon you’re eligible. The Mountain Xpress is once again hosting a holiday art contest to celebrate the work of Asheville citizens (especially children). Santa, reindeer, menorahs, kinara—- we want it all.

The final deadline is Friday, Nov. 18.

Works must fit onto a 8 ½” x 11” piece of paper. Be sure to include your name, address, phone number, age, parent or guardian’s name and school. Watercolor, acrylic, crayons and colored pencils are best for print (no graphite pencil, please). If you’d like your artwork returned, include a self addressed stamped envelope.

All artwork will be published online at mountainx.com. Some works will be featured in one of our holiday issues: Nov. 23, Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.

Mail your original art on a holiday theme to the Mountain Xpress:

2 Wall St.

Or come by the office and hand-deliver it to the A&E office. We’d love to meet you!

Xpress is committed to offering this platform for all voices, but when the tone of the discussion gets nasty or strays off topic, we believe many people choose not to participate.
