Thanks for reading through to the end…

We share your inclination to get the whole story. For the past 25 years, Xpress has been committed to in-depth, balanced reporting about the greater Asheville area. We want everyone to have access to our stories. That’s a big part of why we've never charged for the paper or put up a paywall.

We’re pretty sure that you know journalism faces big challenges these days. Advertising no longer pays the whole cost. Media outlets around the country are asking their readers to chip in. Xpress needs help, too. We hope you’ll consider signing up to be a member of Xpress. For as little as $5 a month — the cost of a craft beer or kombucha — you can help keep local journalism strong. It only takes a moment.

    Interesting.

    Nice interview, Steve.

I’m gonna try to be there, along with all those folks I probably haven’t seen in years.

“Fisher Meehan was generous enough to be the musical guest at the first Asheville Poetry Shootout. I realize I may be only speaking for myself, but there is something very compelling and sad about his feet.”

    This is awesome news!

It will probably never ever happen but how cool would it be to see the 4 piece lineup with Bill Reynolds and Tyler Ramsey again!? Man, if that Drug Money lineup would play a show in town opening for Band of Horses I’d probably be able to die a happy man right then and there.

Still continues to be my favorite local band after all these years. Don’t let that dying grunge sound go to waste. You have the voice.
