Asheville is inarguably a dog-friendly town, and now there’s dog fashion for those furry friends. Here, a quartet of style-savvy canines sport the latest in dog accessories from Blaze-N-Skyy Pet Boutique & Wellness Center (62 Wall St., Asheville, 253-2850).

• Boxer-mix Tehya gets in touch with her inner diva in a “I have issues …” tank top, a pink-and-white ostrich-feather boa, and a pink rhinestone bone collar and lead from the Blaze-N-Skyy collar collection.

Motorsports Charities presents a Rock ‘n’ Roll Benefit for breast-cancer research and early detection at The Orange Peel on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 8 p.m. Along with local rock band Moksha, Sound Xtreme DJs and a rock-memorabilia auction, there’s a fashion show. Local boutiques including Hunk, HoneyPot and Fashionistas will strut their latest collections on the catwalk. Tickets are $35. Info: 225-5851.
