Kid Bets: Sarah Lucia Jones at Malaprop’s

Cincinnati-based artist, educator and storyteller Sarah Lucia Jones is the mastermind behind the board book Orange, Triangle Fox, which uses colors, shapes and animals as education tools for kids. “The companion title, Bunnies Near and Far, also focuses on multiple concepts at once; a warren of rabbits demonstrates opposites and counting up to 10,” says Kirkus Reviews. “The bunnies are quite adorably fluffy as they go for a ride in a carrot-shaped car or attempt to play guitar collectively.”

Jones is also at work on a new book, a collaboration with Dr. John Hutton called Play, as well as her own art projects, including crayon doodles and collages.

Jones signs books at Malaprop’s on Sunday, June 22, at 10 a.m.
