“Remember before Facebook when you could just be annoyed by someone’s dumb face and not have to hear their opinion? I miss the old days.” So says Los Angeles-based comedian Andy Hendrickson in a Facebook post that exemplifies his matter-of-fact sense of humor. Hendrickson specializes in highlighting life’s silly details — when his mother audibly consults him before buying “naners” at the grocery store, for instance — and his anecdotes are often laced with a hearty disapproval that’s directed inward and out. This exasperated guy-next-door has appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” and next he’ll perform at The Millroom on Friday, Oct. 7, at 8 p.m. $12/$14. ashevillemillroom.com.
