As a full-time member of Sweet Claudette and regular performer with Holy Ghost Tent Revival and The Moon and You, you wouldn’t think local singer-songwriter Dulci Ellenberger had the time to pull off a debut solo project. But the 14 tracks on recent release I Can Feel It indicate otherwise. Despite her credit and gratitude to the Asheville music scene, Ellenberger’s album exudes a seaside ambiance between soulful, Southern ballads — both styles adorned with her roaming falsetto. “I can’t wait to share it with the town that made it all possible,” she says, calling the release show “an explosion of local collaboration.” Color Collage opens for Ellenberger, who will be joined by many guest musicians during her set at The Mothlight on Thursday, July 16, at 9 p.m. $5-10 sliding scale donation. themothlight.com.
