$17 per Hour and Beyond Job Fair

Mountain Area Workforce Development will be holding a $17 per Hour and Beyond Job Fair on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the WNC Agricultural Center’s Virginia Boone Building, 761 Boylston Highway, Fletcher, NC 28732. The Virginia Boone Building is located across from the Asheville Regional Airport on NC280, Boylston Highway. The entrance to the job fair will be off of NC280 (Boylston Highway) at Gate 5. This job fair will feature many local employers who are offering jobs paying $17 per hour and more.

Employers participating include Air Vent Exteriors, City of Asheville, City of Hendersonville, Blue Ridge Community College, Borg Warner Turbo Systems, Buncombe County Government, DUNCHA, Henderson County Government, Ingles Markets, KDS, Linamar, MB Haynes Corporation, Mills Manufacturing, Mission Health, Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC), Mission Health, Silverline Plastics, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Wilsonart and many more.

To participate employers must offer at least one position paying $17 per hour or more. Most participating employers have many positions available paying $17 per hour or more. There is no cost for employers and job seekers to participate. Employer booths are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.
