Asheville Police: Biltmore Village shooting suspect surrenders to authorities

Two full days after two individuals were shot in Biltmore Village, suspect Bryant DeAngelo Sanders surrendered to authorities. Sanders, 21, allegedly shot two individuals, ages 20 and 21, around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. The victims were in their car at the time of the crime. The shooting occurred outside Chico’s clothing store off Sweeten Creek Road.

TSA Choice donates $500 to United Way of Henderson County on behalf of walking challenge winners

TSAChoice, a technology firm located in Asheville, issued a walking challenge to its customers in December 2014 “to promote healthy lifestyles.” The winning team, Henderson County IT Department, chose United Way of Henderson County as the beneficiary of the $500 stipend from TSAChoice. Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College has been awarded two grants to help fund and support it’s Minority Student Leadership Academy.
