Highland Brewing taps Only NC Lager and hosts SAHC membership event

From Highland Brewing Company:

This Friday(May 16th) Highland Brewing Company will be tapping the NC Only Lager.

Only NC Lager is a classic, medium-bodied Pilsner brewed with Hallartau Hersbrucker hops, wheat and Pilsen malts. With the fresh and balanced flavors you expect of a well-crafted Pilsner, the use of Danish lager yeast in this brew carries the tasting experience through to a very clean and crisp finish.

Malts: Best Pilsen, Best Wheat
Hops: Hallartau Hersbrucker
ABV: 5.1%

We are also hosting Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy’s Annual Membership Event($30) that is celebrating 40 years of land conservation this Thursday from 6:00-8:00. Highland brewed a special beer for this event called, “Elevation Ale”. It is a brown ale brewed with local honey from Haw Creek Honey and local spruce tips. It will be mainly available here at the brewery. It took a little longer to ferment, so we will not have any tasting notes ready until the day of the event.
