500 Block Hendersonville construction update

From the city of Hendersonville:

Dear 500 Block Merchants, Property Owners, and Tenants of Main Street:

Good morning. Work on the 500 block of Main Street is nearing completion and one of the last remaining major items involves the demolition of asphalt/base and placing of new asphalt and paver crosswalks. Weather permitting, Trace and Company is anticipating completing this work next week (May 6 through 10). Removal of the existing asphalt, crosswalk installation and asphalt placement will take three full days and require closure of the entire 500 block to vehicular traffic. As we get closer to the end of this week (and a more accurate weather forecast is available) we will provide an update as to the dates of closure. Landscaping of the at-grade planter areas will closely follow the paving.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued patience throughout the construction. Please direct any questions or concerns to myself at the number below; Keith Fogo, the City’s Construction Inspector at (828) 243-6300; Lew Holloway, the City’s Main Street Director at (828) 233-3216; or Trace and Company at (828) 692-5664 during working hours or (828) 674-5664 after hours or on weekends.
