AC Hotel Asheville Downtown to host hiring fair June 8; hotel to employ 45

WHO: AC Hotel Asheville Downtown, a new lifestyle hotel opening in late July at the corner of College and Broadway

WHAT: The hotel will be conducting open interviews for all line level positions as well as several supervisory positions. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply by visiting here before arriving. In total, the AC Hotel will employ approximately 45 people whose starting wages will meet or exceed the Asheville living wage.

The AC Hotel Asheville Downtown will boast 132 upscale rooms and European-inspired public spaces including a ninth floor reserved for dining, meetings and a spectacular rooftop and tapas bar, Capella on 9. Capella on 9 will offer daily breakfast and evening cocktails and small plates, as well as indoor and outdoor seating where guests can enjoy views of downtown Asheville and the surrounding mountains.

The hotel is being developed by John McKibbon of McKibbon Hospitality and Glenn W. Wilcox, Sr. of Tower Associates. Local restaurateurs Peter and Martha Pollay will serve as consultants for the hotel’s food and beverage program and Capella on 9.
