All Go West Showcase featuring The Brand New Life, April 23

Asheville’s most buzzed about music festival hosts The Brand New Life for a night of Afro-infused dance music at Altamont Brewery on April, 23rd. The Brand New Life features drums, bass, horns, guitar, and keys that interlock in hard hitting grooves and soaring melodies through an afro prsim.

No strangers to Asheville, TBNL has toured with Asheville fusion artist, The Jonathan Scales Fourchestra and has played The Lake Edens Arts Festival, The Asheville Music Hall (with EMEFE, featuring members of Antibalas), Isis Music Hall (with Athens indie-rockers Reptar), and an off the charts set at last year’s All Go West Music Festival.

The Brand New Life recently relocated to Brooklyn, NY to join the growing Afrobeat scene in the city. They are touring the southeast this April in support of the release of their self-titled EP released last October as well as the Husband/Wife single released for this tour featuring live staples, ‘You Might Not Get a Wife’ and ‘Coconut Husband.’ Stream the releases from bandcamp. The band as moved north to tour south to Go West at the Altamont Brewing Company.
