Press release from All Souls Counseling Center:

All Souls Counseling Center (ASCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Leslie McCrory, LPCS, LCAS, CCS, as the organization’s new Executive Director.

ASCC Executive Director Leslie McCrory says:

“There continues to be a mental health need in our region. I’m excited to work with All Souls Counseling Center, an organization helping to ease the crisis by filling the gap in care that exists for people who are uninsured. ASCC serves more than 700 people annually. More than 80% of our clients are uninsured and 74% report making less than $20,000 per year. ASCC is one of the few places serving this population with individual, couples and family therapy.”

Leslie has worked for 30 years in Asheville in the field of mental health and substance use services in direct care as a therapist, in supervision, education, teaching, training, and management. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from University of Alabama in Birmingham. She continued her studies in Marriage and Family Therapy post-Masters and is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and a Certified Clinical Supervisor.

Before joining ASCC Leslie worked as a consultant for Vaya Health facilitating the collaboratives in WNC supporting respectful, non-judgmental care for women who are pregnant and using substances. She began her relationship with ASCC as one of the organization’s early board members. Shortly after, she became an ASCC therapist and has remained an enthusiastic supporter of the Counseling Center over the years.

ASCC Board Chair Patrick Hardy says: “We are extremely pleased to have Ms. McCrory as our new Executive Director. She brings a unique blend of experience as a clinician and an administrator who embraces the values and goals of our organization.”
