Official Statement of Support for Upcoming Marriage Amendment
N.C. Session Law 2011-409, Senate Bill 514

The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Asheville/Buncombe County supports the act to amend the Constitution of North Carolina to state that “Marriage between one man and one woman” will be the only Domestic Legal Union recognized by the State of North Carolina.

We (the Alliance) believe that by supporting said Amendment, we are not violating, or infringing upon the Civil Rights of the people of this great state of North Carolina.

We believe further that God’s love is for all people, Jesus is the Savior of all people, and that His blood covers every sin committed in thought, word, or deed.

This official statement was enacted on February 6, 2012, with the required quorum in attendance as stated in the By-laws of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Asheville and Buncombe County.
