Aloft announces 2017 Sundays Live@Aloft concert series

Press release:

With the best rooftop venue in town, Aloft Asheville Downtown is pleased to announce its 2017 Sundays Live@Aloft concert series, which kicks off with a live performance by Jim Arrendell and The Cheap Suits on May 28th from 5 until 8pm. Jim Arrendell and The Cheap Suits is a soul-driven dance party band featuring one of the best three-piece rhythm sections in Asheville.

The event is open to the public and a suggested $5 donation will benefit Homeward Bound, a local non-profit organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Buncombe and Henderson counties.

The 2017 Sundays Live@Aloft series will continue through October, with each event featuring a local band and benefitting an area non-profit organization. Additional events include:

• June 25th – featuring entertainment from CaroMia and benefitting Friends of Connect Buncombe

• September 24th – featuring entertainment from The Caribbean Cowboys and benefitting the Asheville Area Arts Council

• October 29th – featuring entertainment from Stevie Lee Combs Music and benefitting Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue

“We are pleased to announce the exciting lineup for our 2017 Sundays Live@Aloft series and look forward to holding these special events for our hotel guests and Asheville locals,” said Aloft Asheville Downtown’s General Manager David McCartney. “Through the series, we’re also able to come together as a community to give back to four very deserving area non-profits.”

Held on the hotel’s rooftop Air Level, all Sundays Live@Aloft events offer spectacular mountain views surrounding downtown Asheville. At each event, Aloft’s W XYZ bar features local craft brews, cocktail favorites and light snacks. New this year, Aloft is partnering with Oskar Blues and will be showcasing their beer for purchase at the Sundays Live@Aloft concerts. This August, in lieu of a Sundays Live@Aloft event, the hotel will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a special event.
