Press release from Amazon:

Amazon’s new delivery station in Mills River is officially open for business. Amazon welcomed associates inside the more than 110,000 square-foot building for the first time this month to celebrate its Day 1 of operation. The delivery station has already created more than 60 new full-time jobs paying at least $15 per hour with comprehensive benefits packages starting on day one. An additional 175 full-time and part-time jobs will be made available as the delivery station ramps up for the holiday season. Interested applicants should visit www.Amazon.com/apply to learn about available jobs and sign up for text alerts when new jobs are made available.

Additionally, the delivery station empowers nine small businesses via Amazon’s Delivery Service Partner Program, creating hundreds of full time driver jobs. For independent contractors who want the flexibility to be their own boss and make their own schedule, there are also driver opportunities for Amazon Flex participants. To learn more, visit www.logistics.amazon.com and https://flex.amazon.com/.

As a part of the opening celebration and Amazon’s commitment to giving back to the communities in which it operates, Amazon donated pet toys and food to the Asheville Humane Society. Additionally, associates from the new Mills River delivery station volunteered their time to care for animals and provided a monetary donation to the no-kill shelter.
