AoB seeks volunteers for Bike Love 2013

An evening to celebrate the advancement of Asheville’s bicycle culture

Saturday February 23rd

Asheville on Bikes is gearing up for the 6th annual Bike Love and we need your help. Volunteer for Bike Love and support the advancement of Asheville’s Bicycle Culture. This year, Bike Love is held at the Isis in West Asheville. As always, there will be plenty of local beer, great music, fun people, and more. Mark February 23rd on your calendars and let Rachel@ashevilleonikes.com know if you would like to help out. Details are below!

Jim Arrendell and the Cheap Suits (9-11) and headliner DJ Marley (11-2)

Activities

bicycle raffle, silent auction, bicycle photo booth, a display of all regional Bicycle and Multimodal Transportation plans, dinner at Isis

Volunteers

We need you to make Bike Love happen. Several volunteer opportunities are available and they will guarantee you an all access pass to the event. Volunteers are given their preferred spot on a first come first served basis. Please think about your availability and let me know what you would like to help with.

Set Up Saturday the 23rd- 12 pm-4 pm- Bike hanging, decorating (lights, hearts, signage),setting the mood

The door- 6:00 pm-1:30 am (various shifts)- welcoming folks, stamping hands, making change

The other doors- 7:30 pm-1:30 am (various shifts)- keeping those who are legit where they need to be!

Bicycle raffle- 8:30 pm-11:00 pm- spreading the AoB gospel, selling raffle tickets, getting people fired up! Costumes welcome!

Silent Auction- 6:00 pm-11:00 pm (various shifts)

Corral Hawk- 8:00pm-1:30am (various shifts)- corral will be self serving but we would like an individual or two to keep a watchful eye out

Clean Up/ Take Down Sunday the 24th- 12pm-4 pm- Cleaning up, breaking down, moving it all out
