APD holds 2nd annual Winter Sock Drive for the Homeless; requests donations

APD 2nd Annual Sock Drive for the Homeless

(ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Dec. 13, 2016) – APD officers with the Downtown Unit are sponsoring their 2nd Annual Sock Drive for the Homeless.  APD has placed a collection box in the main lobby of police headquarters and one in the entrance to City Hall.

The public is invited to assist the officers in collecting socks, hats and gloves to help our homeless citizens who will be subjected to the harsh temperatures associated with the upcoming winter months. All donated items will be personally delivered by the officers to the A Hope Hospitality House located at 19 N. Ann St., Asheville, NC; on Friday, December 23rdat 1:00 p.m.
