APD seeks help in investigating Aug. 5 Tunnel Road shooting

Press release from the Asheville Police Department:

A shooting at 3:08 p.m. at 29 Tunnel Road has fortunately only caused damage to a vehicle and no one reported hurt. A silver or grey van of unknown make and model drove into the parking lot and shot at a vehicle. The driver of the van was described as a white male with neck tattoos. Five .45 caliber shell casings were located in the parking lot of the business. The shooting happened on Aug. 5.
 
Detectives are investigating this incident but need your help. If you would like to anonymously share information, you can text TIP2APD to 847411, or use the TIP2APD smartphone app. You can also share information by calling 828-252-1110.
Since Jan. 1, the Asheville Police Department has responded to 340 calls for services for gunshots or a person shot. In addition, 25 people in Asheville have been shot during the same time period.
