APD investigates S. Charlotte St. traffic accident that injured four

Full announcement from the city of Asheville:

ASHEVILLE – Asheville police and fire departments, at 4:40 p.m., responded to a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of 169 South Charlotte Street where a vehicle left an adjacent road and landed in the parking lot. Four people sustained injuries including two City of Asheville employees. Three have been transported to the hospital.

Asheville police department traffic safety unit officers are investigating the incident. More information will be released as it becomes available.

    Friend who knows the driver says he was prone to seizures (and sometimes drinking) and that, sadly, the child passenger didn’t make it. So very sad.
