From the Asheville Police Department:
Asheville – The Asheville Police Department responded to a shooting at Malvern Hills Pool located at 75 Rumbough Place. At approximately 2:20 AM, APD located one victim in the parking lot area with a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as 30 year old Edward Arthur Burt IV of Asheville. Mr. Burt was transported to Mission Hospital.
Investigators with the Criminal Investigation Division are attempting to determine a motive and identify suspect(s).
