APD investigating pharmacy robbery

From the Asheville Police Department:

Asheville – The Asheville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at 9:27 AM today of the Rite-Aid Pharmacy located at the corner of Tunnel Road and Riceville Road. Witnesses described a white male 25 to 30 years of age enter the store and proceed to the pharmacy where he showed a handgun and demanded prescription pills. The suspect then exited the store with a quantity of prescription pills. He was last seen on foot heading towards Riceville Road. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is a white male 25-30 years old. He is approximately 6’0 tall wearing an olive green ball cap, white T-shirt, and blue jean shorts.

If anyone knows the identity or location of the suspect or has information to share regarding this incident, please call the Asheville Police Department at 828-252-1110 or Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050 or send a tip via text message specifically to the Asheville PD by Texting “APDTIP plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES).
