Applications for Community Foundation of Henderson County’s Fletcher Community Fund grants due

Press release from eh Community Foundation of Henderson County:

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C.: Applications for Community Foundation of Henderson County’s Fletcher Community Fund grants are due to CFHC by 5 p.m., Friday, April 1.

Established in 1990, the Fletcher Community Fund is a component fund of the Community Foundation that was created to provide cultural, educational, historic and civic enrichment for the Town of Fletcher.

Grants are reviewed and recommended by an advisory committee of Fletcher residents. Grants are generally considered for specific projects and not ongoing organizational support. Applicants must be nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organizations, IRS-equivalents or accepted fiscal agents.

Key areas of interest for these grants include arts and culture, history and historic preservation, education, and civic activities. The Fletcher Community Fund encourages proposals that demonstrate collaboration, affect a broad segment of the population, are relevant to overall community needs and available resources, and have reasonable prospects for future support.

Guidelines and more details about CFHC’s Fletcher Community Fund grants program can be found atwww.CFHCforever.org/FletcherFundGrants.

Senior Program Officer Lee Henderson-Hill is the primary CFHC staff member who works with the Fletcher Community Fund grants. She can be contacted at LHenderson-Hill@CFHCforever.org or (828) 697-6224, Ext. 15.

Founded in 1982, Community Foundation of Henderson County’s mission is helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter.

CFHC accepts gifts from individuals, families, businesses and organizations to create a permanent pool of charitable capital from which grants are awarded. CFHC donors this past fiscal year provided awards of more than $2.63 million to charitable causes in the form of grants and scholarships.
