Apply now for the 2025 Festivals & Cultural Events Support Fund

Press release from Explore Asheville:

Applications Will be Accepted Until Monday, February 10 at 5 p.m.

The Festivals and Cultural Events Support Fund has returned to offer financial assistance for local events that make Asheville and Buncombe County a wonderful place to live and visit. We invite you to partner with us to create a meaningful event that welcomes visitors back to our community and contributes to our region’s revival this year.
Over the years, an eclectic collection of festivals and cultural events have received grants from the BCTDA’s support fund, ranging from time-honored traditions, such as Shindig on the Green and Black Mountain’s Sourwood Festival, to cultural celebrations like the Blue Ridge Pride Festival and GRINDfest.

Buncombe-County-based nonprofits and municipal partners can now apply online for grants for festivals and cultural events:

  • Eligible Events: Must take place between April 1–Dec. 31, 2025
  • Application deadline: Monday, February 10 at 5 p.m.
Awards will be announced during the February BCTDA Board meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Grants will be disbursed after successful completion of each event. For full eligibility requirements and more information on the grant program, click here.
