A solar eclipse will be passing our region on August 21. To educate and inspire the public, Blue Ridge Public Radio and Art + Science In the Field (AS IF) are holding art-science competition for Middle through Community College students in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.
Cash prizes will be awarded! Students can submit 2d visual art, sculpture, or poetry. The deadline for entry is June 15.
Winning art works will be exhibited at Blue Ridge Public Radio (WCQS) Studios in Asheville, Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) and Asheville Museum of Science.
